THE AGAIN MOMENT

Old Logic. New Reality. Missing Impact.

When the old story no longer explains reality.

For C-Level executives, leadership teams and organisations whose investments in AI and beyond are not delivering the expected impact.

New technologies meet old rules, roles and decision logics. Usage rises – business value falls short.

I identify the old logics that prevent AI investments and transformation initiatives from creating realised impact.

01 / THE IDEA
AI, LEADERSHIP AND ORGANISATIONAL LOGIC

Your organisation may be investing in AI while still operating on yesterday’s assumptions.

AI initiatives multiply – and remain disconnected from organisational reality.

Leadership teams interpret the same change differently.

Priorities shift without shared understanding.

New tools are inserted into existing logic.

Activity grows while direction becomes less clear.

AI is exposing assumptions about expertise, authority, decision-making and organisational design. The challenge is often not the technology. The challenge is the logic through which the organisation interprets it.

The technology may be new.
The logic governing it often is not.

The question is not whether change is happening. The question is whether the existing logic still explains it.

AI & Organisations
WORK WITH SVEN

Where impact is lost

AI has been introduced. Usage is rising. Business impact stays behind expectations. I work with leadership teams and organisations that want to understand why. Four questions are in focus: where are we losing impact, why, which rules, decisions and organisational patterns cause the loss, and which levers create impact in the short term? The goal is no longer activity. The goal is measurable impact.

AI IMPACT CHECK & AI IMPACT AUDIT
01 / STARTING POINT

AI IMPACT CHECK

The quick reality check for AI initiatives.

Who is this for?
C-Level executives, transformation leads and those responsible for AI initiatives.
When is it relevant?
When AI has been introduced, usage is visible, but the expected impact does not materialise.
What is the focus?
Where impact is lost, which patterns stand behind it, and which obstacles have the greatest short-term influence.
Outputs
  • Report on the biggest impact gaps
  • Analysis of the main causes
  • Summary for the executive team
  • The three most important areas for action
What clarity emerges?
Clarity about the biggest impact gaps, their causes and the next areas for action.

02 / NEXT STEP

AI IMPACT AUDIT

The decision diagnosis for organisations with high AI investment and unclear impact.

Who is this for?
Organisations, business units and leadership teams with ongoing AI or transformation initiatives.
When is it relevant?
When usage exists but impact stays behind expectations, and leadership needs clarity about causes and priorities.
What is the focus?
Decisions, rules, organisational patterns, role logics and processes that prevent AI from unfolding its value-creation potential.
Outputs
  • Report on the impact gaps
  • Root cause analysis
  • Overview of friction points
  • Prioritised list of impact blockers
  • Analysis of decision paths
  • 90-day action plan
What clarity emerges?
Clarity about where impact is lost, why it is lost, and which three levers create the greatest business benefit in the short term.

EXECUTIVE SPARRING

A confidential thinking space for decisions under uncertainty.

Who is this for?
C-Level executives, entrepreneurs and those responsible for transformation.
When is it relevant?
When important decisions must be made before all information is available.
What is the focus?
Assumptions, decision logics, risks, priorities and possible blind spots.
Outputs
  • Decision map
  • Clearer options for action
  • Critical counter-hypotheses
  • Sparring on leadership and impact
  • Decision preparation

KEYNOTES

Why organisations lose impact – and how they win it back.

Who is this for?
Leadership circles, organisations and transformation programmes.
When is it relevant?
When a shared language for AI, transformation and organisational impact is missing.
What is the focus?
Old logic. New reality. Missing impact.
Outputs
  • Shared vocabulary
  • New perspectives on transformation
  • Concrete examples from organisations
  • A discussion about impact instead of activity
  • Impulses for leadership teams
What clarity emerges?
A shared understanding of why companies often stay behind their potential despite investment.

RECOGNITION

01 — 06

It rarely begins with a crisis.

It begins with an irritation.

A strategy that should work, but does not.

A leadership team that interprets the same situation differently.

Decisions that keep returning without resolution.

A change that appears operational, but is actually existential.

We tend to treat these signals as problems within the existing system. We optimise. We restructure. We work harder.

Until we realise:

The problem is not inside the old logic.
The old logic has become the problem.

That is the AGAIN MOMENT.

If this sounds familiar, the challenge may not be the problem itself. It may be the logic through which the problem is being interpreted.

THE COST OF THE OLD LOGIC

What it costs to interpret a new reality through an old logic.

The consequences are rarely spectacular. They appear in decisions, priorities and the everyday work of leadership teams.

The Blind Spot

  • delayed decisions
  • investment focused on the wrong problem
  • AI investments that fail to pay off
  • missed opportunities

Old Logic

  • duplicated effort
  • inefficient processes
  • low use of existing AI capabilities
  • rising costs without additional impact

The In-Between

  • stalled initiatives
  • shifting priorities
  • delayed adoption
  • leadership overload

The New Narrative

  • day-to-day resistance
  • low acceptance of new technologies
  • internal conflict
  • preservation of outdated assumptions

These consequences are usually treated one by one. Often they share a cause: a logic that no longer explains the present.

WHERE IT APPEARS

AGAIN Moments appear wherever an old logic meets a new reality.

01 / AI Leadership

When experience, expertise and authority no longer mean what they used to.

AI & Organisations
02 / Leadership Team Orientation

When the people responsible for the future do not yet share an interpretation of what is changing.

AI Impact Check
03 / Organisational Logic

When new reality enters the organisation but decisions, structures and assumptions remain unchanged.

AI Impact Audit

This work is relevant when a leadership team is responsible for a direction it cannot yet interpret together.

THE IDEA

What is an AGAIN Moment?

An AGAIN Moment is the point at which the story that brought us here no longer explains the reality in front of us.

The old logic is losing its power.
The new logic has not yet emerged.

Between the two lies the space most leaders, leadership teams and organisations try to escape as quickly as possible.

I call it the in-between.

THE IN-BETWEEN AS A LEADERSHIP SITUATION

The In-Between is the space between an Old Logic that no longer provides sufficient direction and a New Logic that is not yet visible enough to guide decisions confidently.

Leadership teams here experience uncertainty, conflicting interpretations, delayed decisions and pressure to act without clarity. This is the situation in which my work becomes relevant.

This is where leadership teams often lose orientation: the old logic no longer explains reality, a shared sense of direction disappears, decisions slow down, assumptions conflict, AI initiatives become fragmented, and the organisation remains stuck between experimentation and integration.

The purpose of the work is not certainty.
The purpose is impact.

It is not an interruption of the real work.
It is where the real work begins.
OLD LOGICTHE IN-BETWEENNEW LOGIC

Not every challenge signals an Again Moment. But recurring tension often deserves closer examination.

Perhaps the question is not how to get back on track.

Perhaps the track no longer leads where reality is going.

THE FIRST WORKING METHOD

A way to work with the in-between

The AGAIN Framework is the method behind the AI Impact Check and the AI Impact Audit. It creates structure inside strategic disorientation. It does not promise certainty – it creates clarity for leadership decisions in the In-Between.

01

Discover

Where is reality already contradicting the old story – and which leadership decisions are still based on it?

02

Map

Which signals, assumptions, roles and dependencies define the current In-Between – and where do interpretations in the leadership team diverge?

03

Navigate

Which decisions need attention now, and how does the leadership team remain capable of acting without pretending certainty?

04

Integrate

Which emerging logic needs to become visible in decisions, responsibilities, structures and the use of AI?

The purpose is not to predict the future.
It is to stop interpreting the present through a story that has already expired.

If you already recognise the challenge and now want to examine it, a clarification call is the starting point.

PERSPECTIVE

I did not arrive at this idea by observing change from a distance.

I have built, led, lost, questioned and started again.

Over time, I became less interested in the visible crisis and more interested in what happens before it:

The signals we explain away.
The stories we defend.
The roles we continue to perform.
The moment reality begins to contradict our model of it.

Today, I study AGAIN Moments across leadership, leadership teams and organisations.

Not to create another formula for change.

To develop a better language for the moment before a new beginning becomes visible.

Notes from the in-between

The Journal is where the theory of THE AGAIN MOMENT develops.

Essays, observations, conversations and real stories about:

  • old logics and new realities
  • signals we recognise too late
  • leadership identities that stop working
  • decisions in the In-Between
  • artificial intelligence as a shift in logic
  • assumptions that continue to govern organisations after they stop explaining the present

What the In-Between Asks of Us

THE COLLECTION

What was your AGAIN Moment?

Some transitions are obvious while they happen.
Most only become visible in hindsight.

I am collecting real AGAIN Moments from leaders and organisations whose old logic stopped explaining their reality.

What changed?

Which signals did you miss?

What did you try to preserve?

When did you realise that returning was no longer possible?
